Tim Shaler is the Chief Executive Officer of 639 LLC, where he oversees two solar-powered data centers under the 639Cloud brand, delivering compute services at 30% below standard market rates using proprietary battery technology for night-time power. He also leads 639 LLC’s microgrid development efforts for external investors. Before joining 639 LLC, Tim served as Economist-in-Residence at iTrust Capital, contributing to its growth to a $1.3 billion valuation at the A Round. Earlier, he led efforts to pursue a buyout of the Puerto Rico Power Authority after Hurricane Maria. Tim previously managed over $7 billion in gas infrastructure, power projects, and utility investments at PIMCO, as well as additional portfolios for insurance companies and public mutual funds. Alongside his co-managers, he earned the Lipper Award for Best Manager of the Year in his category. Between PIMCO and iTrust Capital, Tim played a key role in scaling one of the first ESG investment firms from $3.2 billion to $7.5 billion in assets under management.
