Wednesday, June 17, 2026 · 2:00 PM – 3:15 PM Session: Microgrids in New Mexico: From Strategy to Deployment
Tim Shaler, CEO of 639 Solar, will be a panelist for the 2:00 PM session, "Microgrids in New Mexico: From Strategy to Deployment." The panel will explore how microgrids are moving from concept to deployment across New Mexico, driven by the need for reliable, affordable, and resilient power for Tribal communities, rural areas, critical infrastructure, military installations, water systems, and growing industrial demand.
During the session, Tim will discuss how 639Cloud is powered by 100% renewable energy and delivers flexible infrastructure for modern workloads. Our mission is to make cloud computing sustainable and accessible by bridging the gap between renewable power and digital innovation.
The panel will also cover the practical realities of microgrid deployment, including policy, financing, utility coordination, permitting, technology integration, and long-term operations. Panelists will discuss how microgrids can strengthen grid resilience, support energy sovereignty, improve emergency preparedness, and unlock new economic development opportunities across the state, as well as how New Mexico can better align federal funding, public-private partnerships, and local leadership to move projects from planning to execution.
